So today to my surprise my dad asked if he could borrow my car real quick to give somone a ride home. This was rare because my dad dosent really like the fact I drive a "honda" and actually dosent even like me parking it in the driveway. He's a big VW freak, and that pretty much all he drives. Soooo anyway he leaves to take them home, and I could hear him driving away. I hear him hit vtec in 1st, tires chirp, then again vtec in 2nd. (keep in mind I got a P73, so Vtec dont kick in till about 5700) Im just sitting at my computer laughing. When he gets back he just has the biggest smile on his face. He was like "Dang that Vtec thing sure does pull" Next thing I know my next door neighbor and him were out front talking by my car. He was like "Andy let me see your keys agian, Greg wants to go for a ride" Again I couldnt control my laughter. So he takes him for a ride around the block. LOL my dad is a funny guy. Makes me kind of sad Im selling it.

 

Now that is one clean EK bro! Why you selling? And you park that outside? That kinda sounds like my dad, but he's a driver's ed teacher so he tries to be talking all safe while he's driving all fast. Dad's are weird like that sometimes. Good luck selling!

I've had a similar experience, my dad is always hatin on me cause of the things i do to my SI and driving fast and all... One day he asked me to use my car to drop off a friend, so he pulls out the drive way drives up the street some to the next stop sign, then all you hear is the sound of a b16 rev up and a car peeling out.... I was like WTF and just started laughing. Its funny because my dad is always yelling at me not to peel out cuase i'm wasting tires...

ill try and make it short...when i found my 95 si the guy was asking too much....one day while i was at school the owner called my dad and said he'd go down on the price, so when i come home i find a beautiful STOCK red si.... then my dad asks if he can drive......lol this is with a sohc, but still he was peelin around turns and he downshifted into 1st and i got all freaked out cuz i hadnt driven it yet

at least ur dads drive stick! one day...there was street cleaning in front of my house...i wasn't awake yet. he tried to move it for me...so i wouldn't get a ticket. i woke up hearing my car screeching..then stalling..screeching..then stalling..he gave up...and gave me the keys. i was like.....err (i can't yell at my dad...its an asian thing). i go outside and find my car almost in the middle of the street.....actually...this story aint so funny..makes me mad just thinking bout it. hehe

That hatchcrap is the EXACT HONDA I've ALWAYS wanted to build up... That makes me so sad, I've always wanted an EK hatch and I've always wanted it to go fast, when Gran Turismo came out I saw that type-r and I went crazy for them... Then I started looking into civics and stuff (just before the great rice attack struck here) and right when I started learning all about civics and swaps and stuff everyone around me told me hondas are gay little 4 cylinders that can't touch any domestic and ****... I (and many of you) will agree that a civic is really no match for a true domestic (talkin like chargers/challengers/gtos/superbirds and whatever else) but these little 4 cylinder rice buckets are so god damn quick for how teeny tiny the hp is if you just work internals and change TB, manifolds, cam(s) and **** you can actually start thinking about taking domestics... and if you swap and do that or turbo you can WHOOP *** on domestics Point being, civics are sexy and hatches are badass

My dad used to hate it when I use to waste tons of money on my old car and say it was retarded. He used to say I was going to blow my self up with that bottle of nitrous but yet he helped me get the relay wired up right. He once told one of his friends that was building up an El Camino that "My son can beat your car with his civic" Guy was not to happy with my dad.

 

He wants you to do it right if you're gonna do it it's what dad's do. And he said that cuz he's proud of you and has faith in you Dads can be cool sometimes

im kind of in the same boat but my dad drives a ford v10 and he thinks its fast i let him drive my car when it was a 70 hp cx and he said it was quick i cant wait to let him drive it with the b16a and skunk2 stage 2's in it i think he will ****

 

LOL, my dad is the same way. I used be into chevy and muscel cars and all that great stuff Well he recently was looking for a new car. He noticed how reliable my honda was and that i wasnt haveing in major problems like he was with the Tahoe. Well i take him out ot look at acuras and such and TL's. well he likes those, but the next thing i know, he comming home in and S2k, WTF? He loves it and is having the time of his life. Hes power happy though and is soon the add the supercharger

i got a son/father story for ya:

i used to work at a dealership and this guy comes in and wants to buy a car for his son, turns out his son wants a GSR!

i show him a red 95 GSR coupe, we take it for a spin and im like dont be afraid to give it gas, it revs like mad. anyhow the guy gets all gitty and starts telling me how he was a muscle car nut back in the day and is all impressed w/ the power of the GSR,.blah...blah...blah....

make a long story short...DAD buys the ACURA GSR for himself!!!
