98 accord 4cyl sputtering problem
Hi guys,
I'm new to this forum and would really appreciate some help troubleshooting a problem that I am having with my accord. I'm going to be as specific as I can so please bear with me. To start its a 98 4cyl manual with about 215K miles, cai, tb spacer, full exhaust including header. The problem is that in the range of 1,200 and 2,000 rpms it is sputtering as if it does not have enough fuel. This problem only occurs when I am cruising in that rpm range ex. 35mph in 4th gear and does not always happen but is frequent. When I accelerate/decelerate through this rpm range there is no sputter. My car does have hard starts occasionally. What I've attempted to fix said problem is change cap and rotor, ignition coil, spark plugs twice(currently have ngk), checked resistance on spark plug wires(checked out fine), front O2 sensor, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump and seafoam. There is no check engine light. If anyone can please help I would fully appreciate it. Thank you!

Mine were and it never threw a CEL, but I have the earlier engine.
I have no cel. Looks like I'll have to take off my iac valve and see if it needs a cleaning or check if its faulty. Thank you for your help! I'll take it off and post back if it solves the issue or not.

I cleaned the iac valve/chambers and manifold plenum space although the gasket for the iac valve is now allowing leakage after reassembly(this is why people should never re use gaskets). I'm now waiting to receive the part tomorrow from the dealership, and then I will be able to see if the problem is resolved. This problem occurs when the car is cold and warmed up.
