jdm vin #'s
how do decode jdm vin #'s.....example year. i know you can find out the year of a engine by the stamping on the head. i getting a jdm b18c and wanna know the year cause all i got is the vin#
example :
usdm vin JHMED9232MS000200 10TH position is model year M=1991
is it the same
example :
usdm vin JHMED9232MS000200 10TH position is model year M=1991
is it the same

eg6100XXXX is a 92, eg6110XXXX would be a 93, eg6120XXXX is a 94 something to that nature or you can also look on the head by # 3 or 4 (which ever is furthest to the left, above the exhaust manifold.

um i thought jdm cars/engines didnt have vin's.

i thought that was a US thing.japanese vehicle's have vin's also. thats why there are those blue vin tags on the radiator support. they also have the vin on the firewall.
