Default Proper bolts for mounting D15B7 to engine stand.

I need to know the diameter and length of bolts to mount my engine block to the four holders on my engine stand. The manual from the stand says to get it from the vehicles manual, unfortunately I dont have that. Anyone have any idea what it is?

I usually use the transmission bolts. There is one hole in the block that isn't threaded and you can just use any large bolt that fits through with some washers/sockets on there as spacers.

It's easier to mount the engine holding apparatus to the block and then slide that into the large round hole of the stand (on my stand anyway).

If you don't have the transmission bolts (they are still in the car?) go to Honda and get some extras.

So let me get this straight...you unbolted the transmission and then took the bolts that were connecting the tranny to the engine block and used them to connect to the engine stand?

Yep.

Except for the one unthreaded hole which I used a bolt/nut I found in the garage and a socket for a spacer (was a little long).

I'm thinking it would be cheaper to get metric bolts from a hardware or auto parts store (or online retailer like McMaster-Carr) than buying them from the dealer.

you'll need M12 x 1.25 bolts. you can figure the best length by measuring the stand-offs on the engine stand and adding 25mm (1 inch) to that.

EDIT: or grab some from the junk yard. they may let you have them for free... some will, some won't.
