skunk2 vs BC cams
hi, i know that skunk2 pro cams are proven but how far behind are the Brian Crower ones? the reason i ask is that they are nearly half the price of the sk2 ones,
engine is f20b / h22
any feedback?
many thanks Adam

*Static scratch coming from speaker* "Welcome to Honda-Tech, may I take jour order, please?"
*Feedback* "Do joo want it con queso?"
"What?"
"Do joo want-a scheese?!"
Maybe SEARCH?!
Or maybe sit down and do some research to find out about camshaft design and how lift/duration affect the powerband of an engine and learn to answer your own questions.
We don't fill orders, here.

hi, i carried out a search before posting and the general concensous was that the skunk were better, but the last post on the serch was 2009, i was wondering if they had improved the BC's since then?

There's no reason for you to chime in with your worthless opinion.
BTW...the engine doesn't give 2 flying sh*ts WHO manufactured a given camshaft. It only cares how that given camshaft will operate the valves.
You think if I have a cam ground by a grinder that is of identical specs to a Skunk2 that the "original" Skunk2 cam will perform any better b/c you paid ~$700 for the pair over a pair of copies that can be ground for substantially less?
This thread is pointless....
Jesus...you have no idea what you're talking about. "You get what you pay for." is an argument people usually make about the QUALITY of a given part. I challenge anyone to say that Skunk2 camshafts are of ANY higher quality than Brian Crower.

The thread is pointless b/c the OP & 1st replier asked ignorant questions that show they have zero knowledge about the subject.
Go read...learn...try to understand. Put that work in, and THEN ask a question, and you'll happily get answers all day from board members.
The point I was making in my first reply was that if he did his OWN research and learned the bare basics of how camshafts affect the running of an engine, he could deduce WHY certain cams perform better than others rather than asking if cam A was better than cam B and not knowing anything else about it. If you just accept someone saying that one cam is better than another w/o knowing WHY, you're an idiot.

I know this sounds newbish, but who doesnt look at other people's builds and sees what works and what doesnt from them??? A lot of people buy product based on progress made from a board member with a successful build thread, its just how it is sometimes. He asked a question I gave him what I thought to be as close to correct of an answer as I could.

oem are the best cams you could get only problem is they dont make a came with high enough lift and duration to satisfy our power hunger lol but i like my skunk2 cams never messed with bc or crower so i wouldnt know about them. i say go with what ya know works just about everyone and they grandma has made decent power with skunk2 cams yes they are a lil pricey but they work
