Default Wiring AC Compressor/Condensor fan to ignition

Long story short, the owner before me SCREWED UP the whole car, and i could not get any power to the compressor or condensor fan so i'm currently running a toggle switch turning on and off my AC, and it's going straight to the battery, which i know is not safe.

instead, i want to wire it to my ignition so when my car is off, even if i forget to flip my toggle switch, the condensor fan will be off and what not. so can anybody direct me in the right direction for doing this? where can i find this wire in the steering column?

Why not just fix the problem and make the system work as intended? This may not be any more work to do.

Can you summarize your troubleshooting results? Neither the fan nor clutch would work, right?

you need a wiring diagram of the entire ac system then i believe you'll be able to wire it up correctly

New wireharness = problem fixed, Not really hard to do, just time, but ALOT easier than tracing wires and blah blah

the fan and clutch work perfectly, but when i plug them up to the wire harness it doesn't get any power. so what i did was basically wire it straight to the battery.

i have a push start button in my EG, so i could theoretically splice into that right?

Do you have a multimeter to do some basic electrical tests? I can walk you through them. What car do you have?

yeah we already used a multimeter to look for continuity when the wire harness was plugged up. but we had no luck

Continuity tests are just part of the troubleshooting. You also need to test for voltage and do some other electrical tests. I could probably help you, but you have to want help. I avoid helping members do jury-rig repairs. Obviously, it's up to you.

First off, tell us what car you have.

But it sounds like a blown fuse(s). Do you have a multimeter?
