Stuff I should Know
Well I'm 16 and have had my 1990 Honda Civic DX automatic 1.5li in my name for about 3 months now and finally the guy I bought it from ( Girlfriends Brother-in-law) lent me 300$ for the new engine if I help him pull the old one and put in the new one. I know nothing about this stuff I'm more of a computer person so I was wondering whats the basic stuff I should know.
leave the trans on the motor and pull them both as one and take them out threw the bottom.
Just undo the axles, linkage, harness and coolant lines, and lower the car so it pretty much touches the ground, then undo ur motor mounts. Then raise the car up, leaving the motor on the ground. Then pull it out.
Put bolts back where they came from, makes it real easy to know where they go. And clean everything and take ur time.
