LS/Vtec in a VW Manx Buggy.....WIRE HELP!
I need some help here guys. I have been to like 4 forums and no one knows the wires, vacuums and sensors req'd for good running performance in an LS/Vtec.
The thing is, We put this motor in a buggy and wanted to eliminate all of the wires possible, only connect the vacuums needed, and same with sensors.
Does anyone here have any ideas? At this point we have almost everything hooked up except vacuums and we have a rough idle and she farts when we throttle it. (I know thats not very technical, but I dont know what else to say it revs a little but sounds like too much air maybe?)
Anyway, there are 3 videos on youtube linked to my buggy build site, :

Thanks in advance!

Awesome man. I build harnesses for guys doing just this. Best thing I can recommend is wiring up your ecu so that you can run a check engine light. This way you can see what codes the ecu is throwing. Here is an older picture of what I normally do for buggy guys.
What ecu are you running?
What ecu are you running?
I haven't looked at codes yet as we have only started it a couple times and I dont want to let it run sounding like this(watch the videos on the website and you can hear it)I just want to know if I plug vac's and eliminate sensors and wires will it run normally?
I got a PM from someone already who reminded me to check out the FPR vac.....might be on to something there. I will check codes next shop day and repost codes. should be a day or so. Thanks!!!
P28 ECU sorry.....

P28 ECU sorry.....
Running with no vac lines on it shouldn't make it back fire like that. See if you have the TPS and MAP sensor connectors switched. Is that P28 ecu chipped?
