I just received my 4-1 jdm dc sports header, I have my motor up on an engine stand and when I put it on it was hitting the bottom of the oil pan...I have an ls/vtec and did the z10 block gurdle and had to get components from a gsr including the oil pan. Does anyone think that it is hitting because of the gsr oil pan? I bought the header for an ITR, but the motor is going into a crx...Ideas, opinions are needed...thanks

Bend your oil pan out of the way.

 

I had a similar problem with a JDM ITR 4-1 on my B16a. Had to knock the pan back a little to get enough clearance. Just make sure you don't dent the area where the pick-up is.

 

to run a 4-1 header you need a gsr or itr oil pan
a b16/ls pan will hit the header

 

i ran a Megan Racing "type r copy" 4-1 header with 2.5" collector on my LS and it cleared the oil pan with no problems

how do you exactly "bend" a oil pan??????
