Did the class change along with that motor swap? A CTR motor isn't legal in ITS in the SCCA. Has to be the US production motor.

as far as i'm aware i believe it's still legal and didnt change class

I dont think ITS allows any motor swaps. Any motor swap will move you in class. Now you are legal in RS or ITE. If anyonw wants will get you DQ out of ITS.

it's not my car. we just did this for a customer, so it was his decision. I guess he does move up in class then

Chad, you of all people know you can't really compare dyno numbers.

From the blog post, I don't think PSI Proformance was consulted regarding the rules. It looks like they simply did the work the customer requested. The car owner is the one who is responsible of making sure the car is legal, and in this case may not have understood the limitations of the rule book. That said, if the owner is indeed intending to compete and be legal in SCCA ITS, that CTR motor is going to have to come back out and a US spec B16 sourced. If it's just an ex-ITS car being used for DE/track day duty, then it doesn't matter.
