My civic makes a weird noise when braking
My car is a 96 Civic hatchback and whenever I'm braking for a full stop, I would hear this weird noise. It sounds similar to a "stomping" noise and it's only coming from the back. I believe its the back on the driver side to be more precise. I usually hear it when my car speed is at around 20 mph coming to a full stop. At first i thought the noise was from the contact between my tires and the ground, but the tire pressure was good and lug nuts weren't loose.
I also tried moving/pushing the rear of my car left/right and down but heard no noise.
Could it be my struts? Because I know they're bad already.
Or tires not balanced?
It can't be rotors and stuff since the back are drum brakes.
Or what about the control arms?

removing the back wheels and checking your brakes would be a first, while there is no wheight on your rear end check strut mounts...
sorry not sure what you mean by RTAs
Could you be a little more specific about "checking your brakes"
thanks
