Default DC's custom M5 exhaust

Hey guys, Ive been lurking here for sometime and am blown away by everyones work! Had not registered until a few months ago and rarely post. This really is a killer forum and there is so much knowledge, great advice and constructive criticism. I have been doing fab work and welding for about five or so years now and wish I had found this place then.

Here are some pictures I took recently of and exhaust I did on a customers E39 M5. Much like the one 9bells did. He gave me a lot of inspiration as well as some great ideas for this. Its crazy how we both got this project right around the same time with the same car.

Here are some pictures of the work. . . .

2.5" 304L, Race cats, V-bands, my own x-pipe, Dual tipped polished mufflers. Car sounded amazing wish I had some sound clips. I will try to get some and post them later. Sorry for the poor picture quality need a new camera.

Both sides of the exhaust were identical too which was nice. The welds came out awesome and very consistent to, especially on the v-bands. I wish the pictures were of better quality so you really could see they do it no justice.

Looks good. I would say a deeper x-over would be better for sound and power though.
That's pretty much an H-pipe.
The welds look good, but the exposure/lighting doesn't allow us to see alot.
How does it sound? The one I did was too quiet for me with the Tubi resonators and magnaflow mufflers. This looks like it would have been louder.

Not exactly a smooth transition into the x-pipe, but it'll work. Nice

Thanks Bells, Ya the X-Pipe should have been a little longer and smoother but spacing is tight there due to where the cats ended up as you know working on the car. It sounds really nice though. Has a nice deep note. High RPM it sounds amazing!

kyden- Yes located in RI

I will post other stuff soon of other projects with better lighting and a better camera so you can see the welds better.

We will be installing a Supercharger on this car soon, Stay tuned
