95 Hatch w/B16 Si motor/GSR computer??
Asking this for a friend. He has a Civic Hatch DX with the motor from the 99-up Si...160hp...I think it's called a b16a..not sure. Anyway, the shop he bought it from was running a computer out of a GSR. Is this going to affect his performance??? Good or bad.

He is wondering, cause it's supposed to put out some good numbers, DC header, AEM CAI, Type R tranny...and is only running 15.6 with high 80 traps...he's getting a skunk ecu next week to see if it improves.
I'll tell him what you said...thanks.

the gsr has a different fuel curve than the b16. the vtec engages way early for the b16. the fuel and cams are set up to engage vtec in the late 5000rpm's. the gs-r kicks in 4400.way early. should tell a difference.

So in other words, his car is kicking in the vtec way too soon? So that means it will stop out sooner?
BTW, his car has no tach..so he has no idea what rpms it's kicking in at...
