eg revved to 7K rpm, exhaust smoked, and now won't start

Default eg revved to 7K rpm, exhaust smoked, and now won't start

i was driving down the road i got a d15b1 on a eg i stopped at a light and the ran i revved the speedo all the way to 7 by the red section and sudden car dies. i tried to start it again and it wont before that car was smoked white and black smoke and everytime i try to start it gets a gas smell and also makes a knock sound please help thanks

does it turn over at least? fuel pump prime, have you checked for fuel and spark?

probably broke or cracked a valve keeper and dropped a valve

wow how about you think before you do things next time eh? the redline is there for a reason dont go to it cause that is bad territory on a STOCK car a honda is not a freeking race car... the car probably has a cracked or bent valve and a blow HG

running a pm6 converted to mpfi and the wiring is messed up so i dont know how to check the cel codes

yes it truns fuel is going and getting spark

I assume you have a stick? an auto is protected by the computer to only go to redline.

As others said who revs to 7k???? let alone driving to 7k. Possible damage.

Sweet jesus, It's a D15 those things shouldn't be revved to hell and back stock, I take mine to 5500 rarely let alone hit the redline.
