White smoke from engine and vents. Car stalled and will not start.
2001 Honda Civic Ex A/T. Car will not start. 3 hours prior to incident a little bit of whiteish smoke came therw vents while at a stop light. 3 hours later while pressing the gas a clicking sound is hear. then a lot of smoke came out of the vents. Car cuts off and have to coast in Neutral to get to shoulder. Man I love some power steering! Smoke from engine same color. Had to get out of car due to vents. Car will not start now. Only turns over. What could have happen? Looking for ideas so I can get it back on the road. Had a rebuilt Transmission installed about a year or so prior which after installed there seemed to be a loss of acceleration/power. Only major work done next to general maintainance(major, minor tuneups.) Please help me save my baby!!!

I will change the title of your thread, but please be more specific next time.
Have you looked for any causes, or are you just asking for help? No matter what we suggest, you're still going to have to roll up your sleeves and do some investigating.
Did "the smoke" smell like burning plastic, or did it smell "sweet" like antifreeze?
When starting a topic, make the title specific enough that people scanning the list of forum topics will know what's inside. "Need help" or "have a question" are not specific enough. If you want someone to open your topic, give people an idea what it's about.
