I have an Black 1998 EX, the paint is very smooth, except for the the door (typical door dings), where there are pretty noticiable chips in the paint from the owner before me, deep enough so there is exposed metal and a long gash all the way down to the plastic on the passenger painted side trim, and a long gash above the trim that has exposed metal. When I bring it into the sunlight, it almost looks "dirty" and you can see brush marks from the old polyurethane brushes in carwashes. So I was wondering, would I have to get a whole new paint job or is there something someone can do to "revive" the paint?
