Default trunk security question 94-97 accord

i was recently a victim of a car burglary. the thieves stole my entire sound system, tore my center console apart and stole everything out of my trunk. I have since had a new viper 350 alarm installed and its great and all, but before I put another subwoofer box and amp in my trunk I want to know if there is anything more I can do to keep my new equipment safer? the thieves that robbed me (who I suspect to be my neighbors) pried my driver’s side window out (window off track and bad regulator) and simply hit my trunk release switch to gain access to my trunk. I have locked the switch with my key so it cannot be pulled up to open the trunk from the inside, but if I put my key in the trunk it will open... is there anyway I can keep my trunk closed besides locking the trunk release switch? the shop that installed my alarm said they can add a trunk sensor as well for an additional fee. will that be enough to keep the thieves from getting away with all my stuff again? im pretty paranoid now and im scared to rebuild my system... any input would be appreciated.

if someone wants your stuff they will get it the windows are easly broken and there is a emergency trunk release, best thing is to park in a garage and lock the door
