If you are simply changing a muffler and not the header, catalytic converter, piping, etc then what do you think you're going to gain performance wise? You know the cliche statement of ricers making tons of noise and not going anywhere?

from the look of the internals (if what's coming up on google image search is accurate) i would expect it to be pretty quiet as long as the size is appropriate. i doubt performance would be any different than stock.. esp. with the rest of the exhaust being original.

what is there to gain by replacing the manifold? i suppose a tubular header might be lighter than a cast manifold, but other than that idk?

nothing really. nothing you would notice anyway. most aftermarket headers are mimicked after stock exhaust mani. unless its something similar to bisi header.

i dissagree. after market headers (esp. cheap ones) have their own set of design flaws, but mimicking the stock manifold isn't one of them. unless of course you can point out specifics to support your claim. please edjucate.

I coculd feel the gain up top on my eg hatch (in my picture there)back in my racing days lmao with jdm d15b with headers intake and exhaust i probabaly got 7 whp total but up top on a day with nice weather it pulled nice when vtec hit,i doubt you will be able to feel anything on a heavy car hp to wheel ratio is different im guessing
