I run 205/45/16 and I would hate to have a sidewall any bigger or smaller for that matter. I think it is a perfect size. A 55 remember is 55% of the tread width 205... Figure 8" wide a 45 sidewall is 3.6" and a 55 is 4.4". That is pretty substantial when talking about sidewall size.

I'm riding 205/50/16. No problems on stock suspension. gap doesn't like as bad lol

But 205/55/16 might be pushing it.

205/50/16. 55 is too tall.

are you sure AD08 only comes in 205/55? I was looking into a set and they were available in 215/45 as well.

lol.

195/55/15 = 23.4" diameter (stock)
205/55/16 = 24.9" diameter

It's not the width...it's the height that kills acceleration and introduces all sorts of rubbing issues.

Thanks to all of you. I know 205/55/16 is really way too much for it. I'm just bought a set of the Mugen MF10 in 16" fm another member here. I think i'm gonna stick with 45. I was checking the AD08 and A048 and saw both of them only have 205/55/16 and wonder why? Thats why i wanna see if any of you is actually running 205/55/16...LOL but i dont think so right ... Thanks to all of you!

No one in their right mind is going to be running a 205/55/16. It is waaay too tall for the application and there are no benefits.

225/45/17 maybe, because that's a wide tire and the height may be worth it on certain tracks. But, a 205 is too narrow, especially when a lot of 205/50/15 and 205 or 215/45/16 tires exists.

IIRC, my snow tyres are 205/55/16.

But I never claimed to be of sound mind.

During my younger years and with my first integra (97 RS), I bought some wheels with tires already mounted (205/55R16) needless to say, even at stock height, i rubbed everywhere i go. Front and Rear LOL.

Stick to 215/45R16 or 205/45R16.

I have 215/45R16 Kumho XS, sick looking tire and handles amazing.
