mini me timinng question

Default mini me timinng question

i have a d15b2 block with a d16z6 head ive done a lot or research and i know the timing is going to a half tooth off but is it going to be a half tooth retarded or advanced

1 tooth is 9* off centerline so 1/2 a tooth is 4.5*... using tha setup you will be 4.5* advanced. Set your ignition timing to 16* BTDC regardless... be sure to jump the service connector first... Best bet is to get an adjustable cam gear if you want to dial in the mechanical timing...

i lost my job other wise i would have an adjustable cam gear im trying to make do with what i have but thanks for the info ill be working on it agen Wednesday and try what you said

use a y7 or y8 cam gear to correct the timing issue. They can be had at the dealership for ~$10.
