Default HELP...im running really rich!!!

Ive been getting a code 1 in my 90 CRX dx for a couple weeks now and im running really rich. Its an 02 sensor code but i dont want to buy a new 02 sensor cuz im saving up to buy mounts so that i can put my b18 in. The main problem i have with this is that it causes my car to idle shitty. It idles anywhere from 300-500 rpms when its warm and it vibrates and rattles and just sounds shitty. My AC compressor went out a while back too...i was thinking that if it wasnt the 02 sensor then it might be that. I NEED HELP FROM THE HONDA GODS. Thanks guys.

PS...can i just adjust my idle to fix the idling problem??? If i can then how in the hell do you do that on a DX???

Sean

on a dx there is a srew under the deal that reads DPFI on the left side if you are looking at it form the front turn it with a screw driver and there you go...do it with the car running...dont know what to tell you about the oter stuff....good luck..

If you are going to use the B18 with OBD0 ecu then I would get the new O2. All OBD0 cars share the same O2.

I heard that when you adjust your idle speed you have to reset he computer or something??? The engine is an obd1 so if i buy one now ill only keep it for a few weeks. Thanks.

Just spend the money on the O2 sensor. You will need it for the swap anyway.

You ECU is probably running in open loop "limp home" mode because your oxygen sensor went bad. This can cause the symptoms you describe, especially the rich condition. I would bet that replacing the o2 sensor will fix the problem. Or just run it like that for a week or two until you start putting your new engine.
