POLL: CAI or SRI with heat shield and air ram
I feel like an SRI with the hear shield and air ram will produce the maximum power, but would only be most effective when driving at higher speeds. Or am I wrong?
Crap my search button isn't working for some reason, so I'll just ask: is it a CAI with a velocity stack or the SRI, heat shield, air ram with a velocity stack?
Yeah drop down isn't showing up for some reason, oh well it'll start working again later. As for the CAI, I dunno I figured you smooth out the air flow even more, but I guess it's already smooth enough.

But in a sense i do have a vague concept of what a velocity stack is. By the name of it, I assumed a velocity stack increases the velocity of the air moving through the intake piping and into the cylinder after the intake valves open. Correct me if I'm wrong please.
Yeah... my search button was acting weird at that time; I found what i was looking for and then some including some dynos!

Overall it doesn't matter. You won't get any significant gains. You'll get the most out of a velocity stack SRI combo but nothing that matters. Like I said, old *** topic. Hence the answer OEM.
Bummer, I guess missed out on all the good debates already. Either way, I knew I'd only net a few hp a tq before I even saw the dyno charts, which I was actually quite surprised by. I wasn't looking for significant hp gains, really I'm looking to increase throttle response a little, after all, I'm mostly just a daily driver and the occasional midnight canyon runner at best.
If I were looking for gains I'd definitely drop a larger motor and turbocharge. I was looking into an h22 but the swap doesn't seem to be as common as the b series ...probably due to the ease of the b series motors being a direct swap - correct me if I'm wrong. The k motors are killer but I haven't even looked into that yet.
