What seats from what cars are a direct bolt on to the 91 Civic EF Hatch? Locally I see seats from a 96-98 Civic LX and Em1 seats but not sure if they'll fit. I think I've seen people put Del Sol and Prelude seats in there.

 

90-91 hatch seats only. No other seats will bolt right in without major modification

 

i have an EG seat for my drivers seat in my 90 Si till i get my other one back, all holes but one lined up the only one that didnt was the left rear one. so i got a longer bolt and spacer, i put the spacer between the rail and the body of the car and ran my bolt through. works great!

 

Not even any of the racing seats?

 

I know this is a far cry but does anyone have a set of front seats, blue, in good condition, for the 91 EF Hatch?

 

ive got a deal working for a set of ep si seats through hondas test facility....just waiting on them to release them ....i guess when they're done with them they just throw them away

 

I got black leather GSR seats in my hatch,back seats didn't have to do anything, front wasn't to bad ether nothig major for sure had them in about an hour or so.

 

Throw them away?

 

its from crash testing theyve got like 50 sets of these seats that they put dummies in and do various tests with them and then they throw them away because theyre "used"

 

Da seats work fine (90-93 Integra).Just swap the outer (next to door) rails.You'll use your Civic seats trim panel on the outer rails.The wire that runs underneath that allows the seat to slide back and forth needs to be shortened just a bit.Take cutters and do it a little at a time until it releases the catch smoothly.Unbolt the big ugly Integra lap belt and bolt your stock buckles here.Now there will be one hole that doesnt quite line up,its the rear inner (next to hump in floorboard).All you have to do here is modify the hole in your track until it lines up with the threaded hole in your floorboard.I elongated mine with a drill bit.Youll need a longer bolt than the stock one and some washers.No need to swap pans or drill holes in your floorboard,and if you ever need to put the stock seats back in,you can.This only works with 90-91 Civics,the 88-89 and CRX are different.I wouldnt use EG seats,the botton cushion sits up too high and the steering wheel will rub your legs raw.

i have had seats from a ek they fit pretty easy but u need a spacer for some of the holes and they sit higher then stock seats, i recently changed them to crx si seats i used the stock crx si rails but fabricated different mountings on the brackets on the rails.

 

ek seats sit too high without bracket modding. i know...sold them ***** and got 91 si seats

 

I dunno why but I'm such a sucker for the OEM look LOL

 

Stay OEM. It makes it look like a better quality car. Take for instance S2000 seats in a Civic. Many people think it looks cool but to people who know, I see a car that was put together with less than legit parts. Sure not all are stolen parts but when I see POS cars with high dollar stock parts that spells it out for me. Anyways just had to rant. Nothing will look better than OEM because it gives the illusion that a Honda engineer build the car and not some kid.

EP seats sit WAYYYY too high fyi.

 

I agree, I'm leaning more and more towards either waiting & praying I find stock OEM blue front seats in mint condition OR reupholstering the current ones. The only thing I don't like about reupholstering is that I'll never get it to match the way it is now.

 

There are clean ones out there. I used to find them all the time in the junk yards around here.

 

Does anyone here kno if EG sedan Rear seats or EK Hatch Rear seats will fit into an EF Hatch??

 

I've read around on the net and some people are saying if you change the seats, you're putting your safety at risk since they're not direct swaps. I think I am going to just reupholster the seats. I see si seats everywhere but not the dx. Sucks
