stock b16 rods 9,500 rpm??
i got a b16 with skunk2 pro 2 cams, pro series valve springs and retainers. skunk2 IM and hitch headers. i also got high comp pistons and ACL race bearings (main and rod)
with this setup what rpm range will i make power to??
and with stock rods, how high can i rev up to?? im gonna get ARP rods bolts and head studs.
thanks

revv as high as it'll go. keep revving.
when you see a rod like object shoot from your hood. thats how high you can rev it and when it'll stop making power.
dynos aren't just for show.

That might be the funniest post I have some in quite some time...
Signature worthy if HT still allowed them.
i think that little engine is a little over cam'd. I made power to 11k with a B16 bottom end and pro 1 cams. but my bottom end was built. 9500 on stock rods will hold if you have the rod bolts.

My f20b revved up to 9k made power all the way to it too. Beating that motor for 3 years now that block can take some abuse but b16b's can definitely take some 9500 rpm revs too that's what they are made for. The rod/stroke ratio gives it the reliable 9k revs but no torque
I rev my stock B16A bottom end to 9500 with no issues at all. I've had the motor apart twice for inspection and the rod bearings look fine. This is on my turbo integra by the way. Not quite sure on the WHP but it has gone high 11's weighing in over 2700 lbs the last time I took it to the track.
I am really looking for midrange power. i was thinking a good track cam, toda is the name i keep seeing, posibly a jun cam. I have a set of S2p2 cams and 2 complete swaps that are bone stock. i have the springs and a nice set of valves to beef it up as well.
My question is how will this perform on a stock motor (with adequate springs and retainers)

I wouldn't say it's the rods being the weakest link as much as the bolts. Even then you need more stiffening besides a stock girdle to be considered safe IMO. I wish I could find the video but you would all be amazed how much metal stretches at higher RPM's.
i was stupid enuf to test my first obd0 91 b16 and tried to see how high it can rev..floated 2 valves at 11k..rods were perfectly fine from wat i remember..never tried it again so i cant say for others..
