Default VSS different on D series?

I bought a 1995 del sol and the only real issue with it was diagnosed as one of the main bearings going out due to it always producing a grinding sound. In light of this, I bought another tranny off craigslist that came from a 2000 civic lx. Putting it in the car, I didn't run in to any problems until the reassembly process. I noticed my harness clip didn't fit the new VSS sensor. So the car runs fine right now but obviously I never know how fast I'm going.

My question is, can I just swap the sensors from one transmission to the other or not? Might seem like a dump question cause most times it would just be "yes," but on the 95 tranny the VS is secured via one bolt. In the 2000 tranny, its secured with 3 bolts.

Yes you can swap the sensor. There are two different designs but it will work as a whole assembly.
