Default Wideband 02 Replacement on stock Accord

I have an 01 Accord EX that is the super ultra low emissions vehicle (from Cali) and it is needing a new 02 sensor. The new one from the dealership is $330 and I am assuming it is a wideband. Could I just get an NTK wideband 02 for $75 somewhere and wire it up?

Any insight would be great,

Thanks!

Blaze

You should be able to pick up a Denso replacement; should hook right up with no modifications at all wether it is the pre or post converter sensor.

It does matter. The one in the exh. manifold is $330 where as the one pre cat is like $35. My car is the special California SULEV. Lucky me.

Ouch!

I have never dealt with the Honda AF sensors. I'm not sure what voltages they range from. That is really what you need to confirm between the two. Do they both use the same voltage signal range, ie 0-5v? If they do then there shouldn't be any problem.

Or;
Hondapartsdeals.com has your AF sensor (36531-PAA-306) for $232.

Here is a part number I found for a Honda WBO2 OEM replacement; NGK PN 24302
website; http://www.bmotorsports.com/shop/pro...roducts_id/352

An aftermarket OEM replacement such as NTK or Denso (Both are OE sensors) can be had for around $150 bucks or less at Autozone or wherever you buy your parts. An AF sensor is different that an O2. Specify to the parts jockey that you want the upstream sensor. While they appear the same, they are not.
