Default Possible to estimate 1/4 time with slicks using street tire times?

Since it's the last event gathering of the season, I'm going with some of my team to the Fall Nationals at Englishtown this Sunday. However, I'm going to be running street tires.

I have no intention of trying to win or anything, I just want to see what times I'm getting, as I haven't been to the track in over a year.

Is it possible to estimate my REAL time with slicks using my time and mph that I get with street tires?

I would just knock off .4 for a pretty average guesstimate. I don't think there's a real "formula" or something out there.

Gio, I'll be there with my team before the gates even open. If you're going, you should meet me with them at the Brunswick Square mall at 7:15am.

Then we're all going down to the track. We have a whole canopy setup and we should be next to the Alpha guys.

Estimate 2tenths off your 1/4 mile for every tenth off your 60' time, which is probably around 1.8's with slicks.

haha, i never could get my car to hook in 1-3 gear with streets, at 8psi, i picked up 1.3 seconds by going with slicks, of course, i never was any good at backing off the throttle which might have been my problem on streets.

Thanks guys....well, the time is fast approaching so we'll see. I never know with my car...I could get a 19 second 1/4mile, or a 12 second time. It sucks.
