i'm looking to swap a k20a2 into my 88 civic. one question is there anything major i should know about while doing this swap. and second do i need an immobilizer and kpro?

 

Honestly, you need to do a LOT more research before you even start asking questions. It seems you have no idea truly how much money, time, and work putting a K-swap into a 88-91' Honda is. It's a far cry from even a H22 swap... Take about 2 hours out of every day to read on peoples build threads, swap How-TO's, and the price of parts for starters... To do it right a lot of people spend over $10k, if you get "steals" maybe you could scrape by with a few grand.

 

and by "steals" he means getting a complete donor car for 500 bucks and your still gonna have a few grand in fab work and misc. parts
