Poll: How long did it take everyone to do there h22 swap?
Since there seems to be dozens of people with this swap now, and I'm doing it this weekend I wanted to see how long everyone spent. I'm on a time budget, not a dollar budget.

1 week. because everytime we needed something the auto stores would be closed. we'd only work on it for 3-6 hours a day. just take your time man when you are doing the swap. good luck man

Re: (BOUNTY_HUNTER)
like KIDD said...still to this day im working on my swap...not really my swap but tuning my swap...the actual swap to get the engine in and everything hooked up was like 2 days.....fine tuning is an endless battle of good and evil...

5 years, I like to take my time and make sure it is right.
Fastest: 1 day
Slowest: 1 week
Thats with me doing most of the work. It takes longer if you wait for parts and people.

Oh hey, Kenny, when we line up for the quarter mile next time. Don't forget that extra tank of gas to make it to the end of the line.

Lol, yeah no ****. I took me and a couple other guys 8 hours total to pull the old engine and get this one in. Then it was just a little more time playing around with it to get it running.

lol, Newman, when you've done 100+ h22 civic swaps, you should be able to do it while still getting a good night's rest.

More like when you've done enough of them, you get lazy (or busy with other things) and only work on it an hour here, another hour there, and finally by the end of the week it's done

Well, i'm now in the three plus days.
Friday: We got the old engine ready to be pulled out.
Saturday: Morning, we pull the old engine and took of all the crap we wouldn't need while we waiting for Kenny to rewire the harnesses.
Sunday: We got the motor in and everything working but the shifter.
Monday: Hopefully the shifter problem will be solved soon.

ohhh. well, i can install neons a lot faster than grease in my hair. cuz you know...it takes well over a week to get the perfect look with a mullet, and I haven't even mentioned the missing teeth.

Yeah, grease is like fine wine, it takes time to make good.
*rubs a visor into the ground* H22a's belong in preludes, not civics
