Default 96 Accord EX-Need suspension help...

Bought a 96 EX 4Dr Accord. Got some nice things on the F22B1 motor but the lowering job was pretty interesting. The right side is lower than the left and sits low. like and inch lower, with a set of lowering springs whose brand is unknown at the time. I am purchasing new struts and will be changing them this weekend. Hopefully that works but... Does anyone have any other suggestions as to why this may be? I mean, the right side lower than the left? My first inclination mechanically is because the struts are shot but any info on the matter would be appreciated.

Aloha!

Inspect the condition of the suspension bushings. If some are more worn than the others it may have something to do with it.

Also, cheap parts are cheap parts. That is a chance you take.

Thats what my friends said about the BIG ONE. I ended up putting it on blocks and found out that the guy who had the car before mine used coilover sleeves. Brand unknown, and fubar'd struts. So I swaped those and raised the height but still shi-tay! I am considering Spec-D lowering springs but what is your take on them?

Replacing the struts shouldn't do anything to the height of the vehicle, never would. The weight of the car is supported by the springs, the shocks keep the springs from bouncing up and down for too long. The problem is with height, inspect the suspension components, measure the height of the springs while compressed (car sitting normally, not on jack stands), and see what are the measures that you get.

When lowering a car like that I would just suck it up and buy new everything because you really don't know what has went on in the past with it. Oh and do yourself a favor buy quality parts and not brands unknown like one member said earlier cheap parts are cheap parts. Best of luck.
