Default ATF feed pipe direction- Which book is right?

I'm working on a 04 CRV 4 speed A/T 4WD.

The ATF feed pipe has a flange on it.
Alldata shows this facing up.
The Honda schematic shows it facing down.
Who is right?
Also is this flange for an o-ring, or not.

I didn't see it when I was taking it apart.

P.S. Does anyone know of a good rebuild manual for this trans?

Thanks,
-Robert

I am guessing you are referring to the feedpipe that goes into the idler gear shaft? If so the flange goes up and no o-ring.
