Default victor or performer x???

hi h.t i have a jdm 96 itr; mods 370 rc injectors, s3 ecu, skunk2 tuner 2 cams w/ tuner cam gear, supertech valve spring and reteiners, itr valves with 5 angle valve job, block honed and has .020 over bore, 12.1 wiseco pistons eagle rods with race bearings, supertech block guard, crank was polished and balanced, no port and polish done on motor (which alot of people will say i shouldve)

i went to dyno and made 192.64whp 128.30wtq using a highend tri y header stock itr im and tb, whale pnis intake, 2.5 piping with turbo apex ws2 muffler (loud)...i was kinda dissapointed on the outcome but the tuner said the im and tb size is too small and its choking the motor.. he suggest victor x manifold, i bought one and a omni 68mm tb, i port the im matching the tb.. but now im kinda un sure coz i hear people saying i will loose low and mid range torque, what do you guys think, that power^^ was made @ 8400 rpm and torque is @ 5780... sorry its my 1st time building and tuning on a dyno so any suggestion will help alot..thanxx... and one more thing im debating if i should get a skunk2 pro 1 cam insted of my sk2 tuner2's...

ported itr manifold and 68mm tb would probably be best over both but my next choice would be performer x def over the victor x

the performer X has proven time and time again it is the best manifold for a 1.6-1.8 liter setup.. mild to stock.. the PX has its rev limit range. But its been proven to be the better manifold on a 1.8. Search mikeyspec, he did a intake manifold test on a 1.8 liter with the PX vs alot of other manifolds.. including a CNC ported itr manifold by IB. People say go with a ported ITR, but reality is. Off the shelf vs off the shelf, the px manifold wins majority of the time. The longer runners on the px, will bring your torque up a bit as well.

if you are more interested in building more tq then the performer-x is a better choice, even though i dont think that it will amke enough of a difference to justify to price when you already have the victor.
unless you just really love it get rid of the whale ***** intake, theyre better than stock but a 3" tube with a good filter will out flow it anyday. every dyno test ive seen they are the worst that was tested.
Pro1s would make a huge difference and really you have the compression to run pro2s but just barely but you would need a port and polish to let them breath. pro1s should be fine without a port but would do better with 1 also

So if he increased the displacement to say 84mm and raised compression a little would it warrant a Victor X manifold? Also with the larger cams wouldn't it allow him to better utilize the larger plenum of the Victor X? Just questions trying to learn.

depends on supporting mods. The performerX in stock form, the runners are tad bit too long for a bigger motor.. Most people like King, or profunction are modding performerX's to make them shorter and therefore being a better manifold for the bigger motors.

I am running a Px on my GSR right now with ITR cams. When I switched over from the GSR manifold I lost 10wtq. Since you are already running a single runner manifold you would not see the same power loss. I would expect you to see a gain from about 5000rpm up.
The Px will be a very good match for your build. I strongly would recommend it.
