2005 EX overheating
well someone help me out here. i got a 2005 civic si automatic. i drove down the road it overheated so i let it cool down topped it off cause it was a little low. it was good for 2 weeks and it happened again so i topped it up there were no leaks but the coolant was coming out of my reservior cause it was full to the top. one week later it happened again so i changed my thermostat and topped it off it was good for 2 weeks again and repeated i recently changed my timing belt before all of this. so i asuumed it was a gasket leak. so i did a gasket test that u use its a blue dye that sits in a tube and u pump a ball to suck the air out of your radiator if it changes yellow its a leak the fluid remained blue. i wasnt confident on this test so i did it on a mazda that i knew had gasket problems and it changed to yellow right away so it made me think my gsket is good. so i changed my radiator the mechanic diddnt do a good job and had it airlocked so i had to take the cap off to bubble it out car was good for 2 weeks and now its happening again i topped it off it lasted 1 week then again it happened and it lasted one day. the coolant is shooting out of the top of my reservior and not taking any from it. and also when id sit at a light it would overheat and when i drive it cools down. i dont know what to do anymore with this stupid car i might just drive it into the river and call it quits anyone have a idea. there is no coolant in my oil and vice versa. fans come on for a short time shut off and start agian repeatedly every 30 sec or so heat and ac worlk fine when there is fluid and hoses r really hot. help me out

Wow, I've got a very similar issue man. I've changed, water pump, timing belt, tensior, thermostat, radiator, radiator fan sensors, radiator cap and the blasted car overheats randomly, but mostly in long distance drives, I also have high pressure in my radiator when the car is completely cool. One guy stated that It might be a slightly warped head gasket so I think I will check that out.
if it was a warped gasket there would b emissions in your radiator fluid which i have eliminated by doing the test but u can try that. im thinking of putting in a new water pump but i see u tried that and it diddnt help so i have no idea
