d15 to d16 vtec help?????
Hi I have a stock d15 in my crx right now and I just bought a d16 vtec engine with wire harness(not cut) and a p28 ecu, out of a civic, it looks that it will bolt right up, but my problem is that my plugs don't match up to mine. What do I need to do, will I need a new harness or what??? Thanks jake
The engine harness from a d16z6 will not plug into your interior harness. Depending on if your CRX is a DX (Has a DPFI d15 in it) you will have to convert the car to MPFI, which takes about 6 wires or so to do, real easy. Just search for DPFI to MPFI there are tons of write ups on it.
You will also need to get a OBD-0 to OBD-1 ECU conversion harness and OBD-0 to OBD-1 distributor harness for the ECU and distributor to plug into each other and operate properly.

yup. your going to need to use your stock engine harness from the car, always use a harness that matches the car, and modifiy it to work. if you are not wiring savy feel free to check out my sig. i can build you a harness.
