well i got up this morning started the car up and heard a noise it sounded like the starter was engaged but not fully so i took it to my uncle whos a mechinic he also though it had something to do with the starter until he told me to move the car and i pushed in the clutch and the noise went away ,he then told me it sounding like it wasa throw out bearing it only makes this noise when i do not have the clutch pushed in i have noticed a whine when i dive the car for a distance also noticed its also a pain to get into 5th gear well i think 4th also i know i have to really push it into gear to get it into 5th for sure does this ssound like a throw out bearing cause i did some calling around and got estaments to replace the throw out bearing and clutch pressure plate and to resuface the fly whell for a total of 800. just want to get a second opioun that it is a throw out bearing before i take it in just afriad to take it to the tranny shop and they say its a tranny whens its just throw out bearing

 

well to update this post ended up not being the throw out bearing i thought i would just check the tranny fuild just for ***** and giggles well pop off the fill bolt then the drian well had hardly any fuild in it but one good thing was there were no metal shavings on the magnitc drian bolt so im glad i didnt take it right to the shop and have the work would have been a waste of 800 bucks , i put new fulid in and no more noise and no more pushing it hard into gear
