I love it when these pop up from time to time (mint '97 content)

If this is legit, which I have little doubt that it wouldn't be, this is a beautiful '97 with 30k and a set of Volks in Texas if anyone's looking. Wow, just wow.

I'm sure the owner added them. He's obviously very meticulous with the car; according to his autotrader listing it's his daily driver, and it looks like anything but! They're not OEM moldings which means they're not bolted through the door panels, but likely installed with double-sided tape.
I didn't notice the side moldings the first time around. ITR's definetly didn't have side moldings. I wonder how they were installed.

I didn't even notice the door molding but I did think something didn't look right other than it being CW with non-CW wheels, an obvious no-no. j/k

I've inquired about it and he is the second owner and has own it for 8 months. Carfax shows it changed ownership in April so IDK if he just didn't get around to it till later or?
Also, he states it is #261 and according to the registry it is salvaged R?
Any clarification...?

edit: saw the posts above me about this thing added to the ITR registry with 45k on it and being salvage. if this listing didn't smell fishy before it certainly reeks now.

That's really strange about stick-on door moldings.
IIRC, there are only 4 digits after the hypen as my #50 read ACURA-0050 as this reads #26. I think 'fat fingered' is the case and the one wasn't intential I guess?

Something isn't matching up in regards to this sell.
I once again asked him how long he has owned it and he said 8 months and then I told him about what carfax and he was quick to say he had been mistaken and that it was only 4 months.
Also, like Utilitarian states, the badge picture shows #26 yet the owner told me it was #261?

This is #261 with 30k miles. She had 23k miles one year ago this month. VIN matched. This seller just happened to cut out the 1.
I have a badge pic from last year with all the digits. All '97s came with 5 digits after the hypen.
Hopefully a mature owner picks this one up. Not many '97s left that aren't completely effed up. Only 14 years old and most have been thru hell or dead.
Matt:

<--still wishes he could have snapped up #50 while on the east coast
