Hey i have b20vtec. b16a3 del sol vtec head.

when i rev up super high I hear a strange noise... it sounds like something is whistling, and if i shift as soon as i hear the noise, it sounds liek a blowoff valve.

i have plenty of oil/vtec fluid... nothing wrong with the car whatsoever. everything is rebuild and new components and running perfectly.

it happens around 6500rpm... i rarely rev that high but when i do i hear the noise in every gear.

I might not be right about this but by any chance do u have an aftermarket intake if u do that might be it I had a 3in. And mine did the same thing only thing was mine was a full b16 maybe this helps but not 100% just my 2 cents

 

the blow off valve noise i dont know but a intake manifold that has a vacuum leak will make a whistling noise does it run lean the vacuum leak will also make it run lean theck to make sure the intake mani isnt cracked or that there isnt any leaks i had a ls with a crappy intake mani that did this and it was cracked
