B16a idling at 3k need some help please...
Just got my b16 in my rex and i have a crazy high idle. After start up it goes straight to 3k. No bouncing or anything. I have no codes and when unplugged the tps and turned it on it did the same (3k idle) and I had a cell for my tps. I then tried my iacv. And the idle went to About 1500 and bounced to 2k ish not 100% sure on the actual rpms but it was much lower and I had a cel for the iacv while this happened.
The only vacuum Lines I have ran are to my fpr and map sensor, everything else is pluged. Also when I had everything plugged in and idling 3k, I stuck my fing in the bottom hole in the tb and it would kill it but I never let it do so. My tb gasket, pcv and intake manifold gaskets are new. I'm obd0 and my b16 pr3 intake has a LS TB..
Anyone have any idea on what might be going on? I've Started the car with throttle screw all the way in and tried moving the dizzy but still 3k

Yes... sounds exactly like your FITV (Fast Idle Thermo Valve). The FITV is located under the throttle body. If you look behind the valve under throttle body (firewall side), you should see a plate with 2 screws. Take them off and underneath will be a white(ish) ceramic "dome" with a slot in it. Personally I take the whole valve out to clean As it gets dirty like the IACV - the fast fix is to turn it about all the way in (it screws in and out). Reassemble and problem solved!
I forgot to mention that i did swap out spare iacv and fitv's after cleaning them. But i didnt know the dome thing had threads and was suppose to be screwed in and i noticed it rattling inside there when installed it. Then after all this i did the plug pulling and the other stuff stated in my first post. So just now i took the fitv off again, cleaned it again and this time screwed the dome all the way down so we shall see what happens now. Thanks for your help so far guys!
