Toda Spec B's, ITR w/ CTR Pistons
Im running Toda Spec B's in my JDM ITR with CTR Pistons. I'd like to know if anyone else has ever ran a similair setup and did they clay the engine or adjust the cam gears at all? theres really not much info regarding peoples builds with toda cams on the internet.
well before somebody jumps in and flames away, although there really isnt much info on toda cam usage , there is info on ctr pistons. its pretty much a no no due to the high dome . some people will swear they have never had problems running cams with them and others will say they dont last but a few xxxx miles. my only experience with these pistons was in a gsr block gsr head ctr cams. motor still runs but not abused much.
BTW: i wish my grandpa was as cool as yours.

thanks, im not asking peoples opinions on my build. im simply trying to find out if anyone out there has had a similar build and if they adjusted the cam gears. i dyno'd the engine and the cam gears were set to 0,0 and it only put down 175/122. i know theres more potential from the cams but im starting to think im better off throwing stock itr cams back in and using them to there full potential.
Cam degreeing will make more power with that setup we are just waiting for Toda to send the true cam card for them so I can post it up in another thread.
when is that expected? i want to adjust the cam gears i just don't want to run into piston to valve clearance issues. i understand the only true way to do this is clay the engine
my setup btw,
Stock JDM ITR Block with OS CTR Pistons
Stock JDM ITR Head with Toda Spec B cams, Toda Springs, Toda Cam Gears, Toda Timing Belt, Toda Header, Stock Head Gasket, RC 310 injectors, Spoon Throttle Body, Stock Intake arm with Spoon Filter.

I'm sorry I was not able to help much. I did make 207whp / 140ft/lbs of torque on my engine. The key was to properly degree the cams on installation, and then adjusted the gears to about 1+ intake 0 exhaust, while the tuner did the rest on Apex'i Power FC
Here is the Toda Spec B cam card. Toda Bs are a great camshaft, but they need to be properly degreed by the cam card before you dyno, otherwise, you get no results.
