Default Rebuilt tranny, new clutch, stuck in gear...

Ok I just got my d series tranny rebuilt with new synchos, bearings, and seals. I also put on a new exedy clutch. My problem I have now is that the tranny is stuck in gear and has no neutral. I'm kinda stuck. Some say it might be the clutch? Please let me know if u guys have any ideas...thanks

likely a synchro is jammed onto the gear cone.

You need to find which gear it is jammed in, likely second. This issue would have been found by bench shifting the tranny after it was assembled but not installed. I've had to tear a few back apart because of this. You need to oil the new brass when slapping it back together.

I'd put the car in second and see if it will roll when the clutch is let out. If you are in a gear other than the one that is jammed the car should lock up being two gears are engaged. If you didn't have a new clutch and it was second gear synchro that was jammed, I'd try putting it in first and see if you can break it loose.

Not sure if this will cause more damage or not.

Sounds like the trans is trying to engage two gears at the same time...got to be a sleeve upside down possibly or an internal shift linkage issue.
