Hey my 91 civic hatch with a d16a6 has the oil light on and it wont go away
the oil is full

whats up?

 

Could be the oil pressure plug on the back of the block?

 

Nothing is up really, just browsing the World Wide Web.

1.) Your oil pressure switch could be bad/ have a blockage.
2.) Your wiring could be faulty.
3.) Even if your engine is not knocking yet the bearing clearances could be so bad you are losing oil pressure severely.
4.) Your oil pump is failing (clearances).
5.) Your oil pump sump is clogged.

Put a mechanical gauge on it and see what your oil pressure is. Simple as that, then go from there.
