Default Cold Air Intake in a warm climate?

I'm on Maui, and am being pressured to get an AEM cold air intake by my friends... My question is if it will make a difference, considering that the temperature rarely drops below the mid eighties...

BTW, my car is a 95 EX Coupe, with DC Sports Headers... Dunno if telling you that makes much of a difference but better safe than sorry...

Thanks for any forthcoming help.

How much of a gain should i expect from this?

Also, will the intake affect how my car sounds at all? I've grown rather fond of that nice loud growl...

Just ordered it... Hopefully it'll be here monday... I've only had this car 2 weeks, and already i've dropped over 400 bucks into it... I need to get a better job...

Get one.. some people may call me ignernt and say that there is really no gain, but trust me I definitely noticed an increase on my ex. Its better then a Hot Air Intake for your car.

gain.. well AEM quotes it as 8 whp or so. The sound is great, especially when you hit vtec and get that dope growl. I hope you got yours from ebay, cuz i got mine brand new and a bypass valve shipped for 210. I love ebay!

Not from e-bay... I checked, and I don't trust any of the sellers... One guy was doing a dutch auction, he has been registered for a month, and has ZERO feedback... I got it from coximport.com for 218 with shipping, no filter... 2nd Day Air UPS... You get screwed on shipping if you live in hawaii...

psssssstttt.... i'll let you in on a little secret...

if you buy from AEMpowr, on ebay its way cheaper then anything i've ever seen. the seller was going by the name "cheapfonecards" when i bought the intake at a kick *** deal. He changed his seller name to aempowr, and the seller has flawless feedback. I got instant responses to email, i mean literally i would email him a question and i'd get a response within 10 minutes. My intake was like 155 using Buy It Now. check this seller out if you get a chance, and if anybody is looking for a cai i'm glad i helped you out

Heh werd.
I got some decent stuff off ebay. Just gotta be careful. And ask to use USPS instead of FedEx/UPS.

hey, I just noticed that you were from maui. I'm from Maui too, and I actually got a AEM Cold Air Intake ion my car. My intake ran me $200 brand new with shipping. I am working on starting a web based performance business, so i'll be able to get parts for atleast decent prices soon. E-mail me sometime at: crazeone69@aol.com, and maybe we can chill sometime. I got a 92 Civic EX 4 Door, but I got the car before I got into racing, but it's all good. Hey, hope to hear back from you. Take it easy, and i'll talk to you soon. Later ~Tyson~ a.k.a. Dj Megaman
