Default My 93 4 door build...in for the fun

Hey guys...i decided to start a thread on my 93 4 door civic. I've had it for a little over a year now already. It wont be a baller build like some of the other threads ive seen here but i hope you guys enjoy it. Bought it from some lady that had it laying in her house for over 2 years because she moved to Georgia. Has a D15b7 in it. It didnt run but it looked like it had potential. Has rust on both rear quater panels by the tail lights. Not that big but should be addressed sooner then later. Paint is faded aswell on the front bumper and hood. Bought it for $420 bucks. Future plans are to throw some Vtec heads on it, EX Tranny, some nice wheels, paint of course and just make it a nice daily. Hope you guys enjoy the thread now on the some pics.

Here's a pic of how it looked when i picked it up...

Bought a new battery and dizzy and she started right up, has ac, ps, & pw

Here's how she looked once it started running

Had some Black GSR seats on my last civic that i had so i decided to throw them in there make it a little more comfy, for some reason the driver side is tilted to the right

Here's a picture of the dash board(Dont mind the grandma steering wheel lol, it came with it) btw notice the ****, its a Blox Titanium also threw a Megan Dual bent shifter in there

After about 2 months of driver it like that i decided to throw some Tints & EP3's on it...this is how it looked

Decided it needed some nice clean corner lights so i bought some Amber Corner lights...

Amber Corner lights installed

Took it to the car wash real quick

Bought some Stanley Amber Side Markers and found some guy on H-T to install them for me for 20 bucks...i think he did a great job

Drove it as is for 3 months until i got tired of the EP3's, so i got a good deal on some Black Track R's and threw some lowering springs on with the stock shocks and also threw some purple lug nuts on it

Drove it for about another month until i got tired of them, so i traded the Track R's for some Semi Polished LS Mesh...

Noticed that the tires were going bald quickly so time for a camberkit, traded the LS Mesh for steelies and bought the camber kit

Got a great deal on a used Yakima Bike Rack from a friend so i threw it on there

Was driving it like this for about 3 months, until i got hit from behind by a Mercedes Truck in Naples... trunk is dented in, rear bumper is messed up and frame was bent a little as u can see in the picture...=(

Decided that i wasnt going to let that ruin my little project so i kepted working on it and decided to clean up the engine bay a little bit, did a mini wire tuck, fuel injector wire tuck and paint the valve cover white...

Before

After

Also got bored and decided to paint the Bike Rack White aswell...

The Front panel prepped and ready to be painted after sanding it down

Painted it and let it sit for about 2 hours or so...

Removed the masking tape from the YAKIMA letters...

Placed it back on the car and this is how she sits as of today...also i just picked up the rear bumper and trunk from some cool cat in bonita springs, got them for 50 bucks both in good condition...

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! = )

Ok, so i went and meet up with my friend yesterday afternoon to fix my rear bumper and trunk, oh man what a huge mess, bumper support was bent all the way in from the right side, the white support bar(Not sure what the name is) was broken from the right side aswell, basically....just A LOT of body work needs to be done, here's a picture of the trunk and bumper that i bought from some guy up north...

(Dont know if i like the wing or not but it'll have to stay there because i dont want holes on my trunk nor water going in)

So here's a picture of the damage

A side shot from the right(if you look very closely you can see the trunk is popped open...smh noooo good) Water was getting inside the trunk

And a shot from the left...ugh horrible

Here's a picture up close just so you guys can see what we were working with of the taillights, needs to be flushed and as you can see there not

(License Plate holder) Not sure what the name is....OFF

Inner Tail lights off

And the trunk is off...btw if you ever get hit from behind, make sure you buy all the hindges aswell..

Here's the trunk...bye bye

New trunk is in(My friend Henry's leg lol...he's taking out the mudflaps off so we can take the bumper off) As you can see the new bumper wasnt closing due to the crash and not aligned

Rear Bumper is off now(My friend taking the bulbs out of the tailights) If you look closely again lol, you can notice the white support beam on the right broke off.

A few bangs here, a few bangs there and its sitting a little better buttt, not good enough

A few more bangs and it'll do for now...(My friend Henry)

Rear Bumper is on, im no body expert but i'll let them align everything up nice and flush once i get funds coming in but for now it'll do

Here's a closer picture of the left side...not to satisfied but sits way better then before(btw both sides have the corner rust on them, i'll let the body shop get that done aswell as replace the rear bumper support once i get funds flowing)

And i just couldnt resist theses...ARP Gold Extended Wheel Studs and Vision Lug Nuts
(They'll go on once i get some nice wheels)

And i just couldnt resist lol...dont make fun of my Kung Fu Panda

props to another sedan owner. But the pics are terrible. It's almost hard to concentrate on what's going on. The sideways pictures just give me a headache. Good luck with the build.

Back from the dead...

Here's what ive been doing to the hatch... sooooo many things happened to it i dont know where to begin.

The person who i traded my TL for well...kinda ****ed me over but no biggie
The car was hit in the rear right quater panel(foundout after i gutted the interior) and also on the right right fender aswell.
So i decided to clean it up a tad bit, make it into a nice Daily and just overall have fun. Only thing thats killing me is its Salvage title = (...enough crying and on to the pics

(The day i got the civic, i threw the bike rack on it)

(Came with these HX's, all matching tires, looked decent)

Default Re: My 93 4 door build...in for the fun

(They came with some pretty new tires, couldnt complain)

(Bike rack messed up my door jams pretty bad, was scratching it up so decided to take it off and sold it)

(And the day finally came and the z6 that was in it took a **** on me one day and never turned on again)

(A closer pic of the heads)

So i rolled the car to my mechanic shop which is about 3 blocks from where i stay and we did a compression test, noticed radiator fluid was gone, and the motor had fried, lets take a look at what the motor looked like

(The valves, thats just discusting)

Ughhhh, been catching the bus for 2 months until i got a good deal on a y7 for the low, couldnt complain, no leaks, no knocks, no smoke, so i bought it and threw it in the bay

(Here are some interior pics of how she looked, this is exactly how i got her, what in the world was this guy thinking, some lovin is going to bring her back to life) I dont understand why he would paint the under dash panels red

(Front AP2 Seats, need to be redone, there pretty beat up and honestly i dont like much because they dont recline all the way back, so currently looking for new seats)

(Here are the rear seats)

(Here's the driver door panel, serious? come on man, in need of new door panel)

(Here's the passenger door panel and a pic of the passenger AP2 seat, just looking at this disappoints me)

Headliner

(Then my cousin hits me from the back, ughhh things cant get any worse for my poor little hatch)

Another pic of the rear

I lost all motivation to put any effort towards my hatch and 1 day it just hit me i guess, let me make the best out of it so i decided to pay her some attention, bought Brand New back bumper and traded the HX's for Si Stocks(Yup rear panels are red aswell)

Purchased BNIB OEM HOOD BRA

Decided to gut the interior since i just cant stand looking at all the red in there

(This is how the rear panels looked when i took them out)

(Sanded, primer, sanded, primer, and SEM paint and this is the final product)

(Started putting the rear panels back in)

(Both panels are in, much better in my opinion)

(As for the under dash panels, i replaced them with OEM SI panels, now just need a glove that'll match)

(Trunk back in, just need the trunk lid now)

(Rear seats cleaned up a bit, will replace them soon, dont know what seats yet)

(Replaced the old fogged up headlight)

(I hate that gap between the hood and front bumper)

(And cleaned up the bay a tad)
