Default pin out question

for the ef's that had electric mirrors, where can i find a pin out or a diagram on them as to what each of the 3 wires are used for. also, can these be used without a relay or is there one needed in between the switch and the mirrors?

if you DL the shop manual its all there. as for the relay, i have been running my power folding mirrors with out a standard relay only the one for the folding portion. but i have made these harnesses with relays as well. so its up to you if you want to use a relay, i have had mine in my car for years now with no issues without the relay.

Relay is for folding only AFAIK.
You only push a button to fold so flips polarity through the relays to run the motor forward or backwards for fold in and fold out.

For mirrors you select which way to run the motors - left~right or up~down.
No relay is needed and no relay is shown in the shop manual schematic.

Here's how to wire it up using the relay for the folding if you have that option.
