"Apparently, in Canada at least, the R888's are now the only track tire that Toyo will be offering. They are not importing any more RA1's and inventories have run out."

can anyone confirm this?

from what i gather this was supposed to be the case when the triple 8s came about. but we all saw where that went. who all knows what was lost over in japan. so maybe it just became a write off...hc to bfg r1 or stay r6. this would be a prkiller for toyo in the grassroots market i would think. boom! see what i did there.

No, the RA1's are not gone. They are here and tires are coming in all the time!

Don't know anything about Canada, but I can assure you that's not the case in the good ol' USA!

Not stashed anywhere. Call any Toyo motorsports dealer and order just like normal. Don't see any problems with next year.

 

A little off topic, but when do we (Honda Challenge) expect to go back to Toyo's? After Nationals or not until 2012?

 

They never imported RA1 into Canada after R888 came out.

Exactly, the only way to get RA1 into Canada is to order it through a dealer(treadzone
) etc. That's how it has always been since the R888 was released years ago.

 

We still have RA1's because we told Toyo to take their R888 and shove it. As mentioned above there are still some places that will ship to Canada which would probably be your best bet.

 

There is always a fair amount of bad information here on Honda Tech. Good Luck.
