Purely aesthetic...D, B, H or K?
I've been going back and forth recently trying to decide on my favorite motor crammed into 4th Gens. I've always loved the underdog nature of the D, the pure nature of the B (the engine we all should have gotten), and the melding of the past and present with a K. Just wondering what everyone else would choose as their ideal "best fit" when it came to motors.
(I'm not a big fan of the way an H looks in our bays, but put it in the poll for those who are

IMO, the single cam D series sits in the right spot, but the valve cover looks small.
I like the bigger valve cover the dual cam offers so B-series to me looks perfect, and sits in around the same spot as the D series.
The H series looks too big in the bay, and the K sits too close to the left for my taste.
So as far as how the engine fits and sits in the bay, I'd say B series FTW!

When you say 'best fit' then nothing you listed other than the D fits without modification.
Whether you are banging in a frame rail, cutting away the hood, or needing to pull the motor out to change a belt - all but the D don't fit.

Sorry, I guess I should have posted another thread about my cel, or how my dizzy broke, or what parts I need for a rear disk swap. This specific forum (like most of the older model forums) stopped being technical a loooong time ago. I could have asked in the appearance forum I suppose, but I don't care what someone with an EG/K thinks about what looks good in a 4G...I wanted to get feed back from other EF owners.
Aside from that, it only says it's model specific, not tech specific. My question should have been...what looks the best in a 4G bay (a model specific question). That's basically what I asked but perhaps I should have been a bit more blunt.
Fwiw my vote was for B series.

Sad... even the Moderator chimed in to a pointless thread. I must follow thy leader.
Where is the SBC/LS1/LSX option? I hear you can pick up rocket engines real cheap now that the space program is over. They go from zero to infinity and beyond in about .001 seconds.
