I have a d16z6 in my 92 si hatch. 194xxx orginal kms. Not sure when the timing belt was dont. Got the car with 187k on it. When should the belt be done? At what kms?

Timing belts are usually replaced 60k->90k miles (96km -> 160km) or 6-7 years, whichever comes first. The range is dependent on weather condition. If you live in a place that freezes in winter and burning hot in summer, go for the lower end of the range. If you live in a nice, temperate location year round, you can opt for the latter end of the range.

 

i live in canada, b.c. Im guessing do it around 200-220kms?

 

Do it now... It's inexpensive and will save you a headache down the road if it decides to fail.

do the TB and water pump too.. I would replace the manual adjuster too
