Cleaned FITV and it got worse!
Ok so i have a b16a in my civic and I've had a surging idle for awhile now but it has ran perfect other than that. So today i took out the FITV cleaned it (it wasn't dirty at all) put it back together started it up idled high than came down and stalled out. This had never happened before i touched the FITV. I read that if you screw it out it should idle higher when cold. so adjusted it stalled out quicker. put it back were it was tried it multiple times and now it fires and the instantly dies. Please help need to get this resolved so i can send it to paint
The FITV should be screwed all the way down to stop the surging.
Have you checked your coolant level? If a honda gets low on anti-freeze, the motor will surge like that also.

Check for coolant problems as said earlier and also check for a stuck throttle...not sure if a b16 would do it but I know my d15 does it if the throttle was open just a hair..
