D15b Help....

Default D15b Help....

Well got back into a honda after 2 years and im excited.. its a 1994 honda civic ex coupe but it comes with a d15b motor... my issue is that the idle is not stable its going from 1000 rpms too 1500 rpms up-and-down... does anybody have any idea as to what the issue might be? Any help will be greatly appreciated...I was told the IACV... but I need as many ideas as I can get... THANKS

it could be the IACV, but i've heard of TPS sensors doing this too

Check the iacv. Take it off, clean it and put it back together.

This ^. Do that and will more than likely resolve your issue. Also, check your coolant level, believe it or not being low on coolant can cause a fluctuating idle on our cars.

^^^I have a D15B also, my coolant level was low and did the same exact thing.
