Check engine light
Ok 90 cr-x. Originally auto was converted as well as a mpfi conversion. The wiring was done **** poor when I bought it last year.
Car runs great, problem is the CEL comes on and the blue pin connector when jumped does not read the codes. Is there an alternate way to pull the codes? Grounding a pin on the ecu or something. It's hard to diagnose a code when it's sparatic and doesn't effect drivability. Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure you are jumping the blue connector with the brown/white and a black wire coming out.
Maybe you accidently jumped the timing service connector?
Also what kind of obd-0 to obd-1 conversion harness? Usually there is a wire on those harnesses that you just have to ground out to throw the codes. In most cases it's pin D4 that you have to ground out to get the codes to throw, which is in the secondary bundle where the 4 wire o2 sensor vtec wires etc are.
